I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO INTERPRET THE BIRTHPLACE OF MY GG PATRICK FINN FROM HIS DEATH RECORD OF DECEMBER 30, 1888 FROM MARTINSBURG, NY .

HE AND HIS MOTHER, ELIZABETH CUNNINGHAM FINN (1804?) , AND BROTHER MICHAEL FINN(1847)
ARRIVED IN THE MARTINSBURG, NY AREA @1853. HIS BROTHER JAMES FINN(1828) HAD ALREADY ESTABLISHED A LOG HOME ON PROPERTY THERE@1850.

IT APPEARS TO BE LICKEN, CARREY(KERRY?), IRELAND BUT I AM UNABLE TO LOCATE HIM IN COUNTY KERRY OR ANY SUCH TOWN/PARISH?

HOPEFULLY YOU CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVISE FROM THE ATTACHED:

    I thought the same but I became confused when I found a Catholic Birth /Baptism record for :
    Pat of Pat Finn and Betty Cunningham 8 June 1837 for Cashel & Emily, Golden &. Kilfeacle Parish, Tipperary.
    Perhaps his wife, Jane Owens Finn, gave the wrong information or it was interpreted and spelled incorrectly. It definitely looks like Likeen, Carrey(Kerry) and I don't think one could have interpreted that from Tipperary!
    My search has been quite frustrating but
    I' ll continue my efforts to attempt to solve this puzzle.
