I have been doing research for my Grandmother that lost her Grandmother before she was even born:
Barbara Delap "Dunlap"
BIRTH 17 NOV 1876 • Knock, Galway, Ireland
This came from 10 years of research basically because the name "Delap" was transcribed incorrectly on a ship record. After Barbara arrived in the United States, through her brother Peter, she is well documented.
For that past several months I have logged every Delap from Knock and surrounding areas. Still, I can not link Barbara's parents to anyone else.
Father: Patrick Delap
Mother: Barbara O'Donnell ?– 2 July 1880
Patrick and Barbara had three sons that I can tell, and one other daughter.
John Dulap 26 May 1866 - ?
Peter Delap 18 June 1868 – 1868
Peter Delap "Dunlap" 1 May 1869 – 4 December 1946
Mary Dulap "Delap" 25 April 1871 – ?
Not sure that anyone can help. Honestly just putting the information anywhere I can in hopes of finding someone else tracing the same line :)

Hi, it may be your self but there are a number of Facebook pages on Galway Genealogy, at least two have Delap / Dunlap including mention of a Barbara born in 1877 I think. Not sure if you are aware of them. I am on them as I ahve Galway ancestry, there are a number of smaller local ones too.
