I'm looking for information about my 3rd great-grandfather, Michael Nicholas Denny (Denney). According to his obituary, he was born in County Meath 26 December 1826 and emigrated to the United States sometime before October 1855. His wife was Anna/Ann Quirk. She was born in 1834, birthplace unknown although I believe it was somewhere in Ireland. They were married in New York in October 1855. I am not certain that I have his name correct. He appears to go by Michael and Nicholas on different census records, but his obituary lists him as M.N.

Hello
I searched Roots Ireland and the only 2 Michael Denny or Denny are born in Cork and Leitrim, not near Meath. No Nicholas. No Denney in Meath, it is early for some church records in Ireland, also found 36 Quirkes in all born between 1821 and 1831. There were 26 Ann Quirkes all south of Dublin and mainly in the Tipperary / Waterford / Cork area but not soley.
Sorry cannot be of further assistance but parents names would be required to sort out the Ann's. Used normal spelling variations.
Good Luck
