Do you know what parish in Donegal Dennis and Catherine were born/lived in? A parish name, even a village or town name will greatly help you to narrow down your search and will point the way to the relevant records.

Also do you know what religious denomination they were? This is also important in determining which records are relevant to your research.

Did they emigrate? If they did do you know anything about the emigration? Generally more information was given at the point of arrival rather than the point of departure. If you knew which city they arrived in it may help you find information-and perhaps even an exact place of origin.

Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.
