I have it a brick wall. I have the following but stuck I cannot find any further information.
James Dolan born 1830 (only info I have is born in Ireland he move to Bradford, Yorkshire. Married Catherine White 1850. They moved to the North East of Yorkshire. His father was John. I have this off the marriage certificate. He was also a Chelsea Pensioner. Also born in Ireland. This is where my wall is. Is there anyone who could point me in the right direction?

The subscription site Roots Ireland has five possible James Dolan father John Dolan baptismal record leads: 1826 James Dolan record in Co. Roscommon, 1828 record in Co. Roscommon, 1830 record in Co. Leitrim, 1831 record in Co. Westmeath and 1831 record in Co. Longford.
We would need to know his mother's maiden name to confirm any of these five records. Many RC parishes do not have records back to 1830 so it is possible that your James was baptized in one of these parishes.
Have you considered DNA testing?
Let me know if you have any questions.

Have you looked at all the UK censuses James appeared in? They sometimes give county of birth in Ireland.

Hello yes I have found both John and James on the census's UK but only says Ireland. I have even tried to find John as in 1850 he was a Chelsea Pension through the Chelsea registers. You could be a home based Chelsea Pensioner. I will keep going many thanks for your reply's they are useful.
