My great grandfather, Thomas Dolan (variants- Doland, Dooling, Dowling) immigrated to Erie, Pa in 1865. His birthplace around 1840, was given as County Kerry. He met and married Bridget Dee in 1866. I believe she also was born in Kerry around 1838-- maybe Ballybunion, and some of her relation were Lynches. Looking to connect with any relatives.

I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland for a baptismal record in Ballybunion for Bridget Dee and found two possibilities. The 1837 record looks promising because the mother was a Lynch.
Bridget Dee baptized February 3 1837 father Michael Dee mother Ellen Lynch one sponsor Sara Linane They lived in a place spelled Rahrou. I will need to do some additional checking to see if I can identify the placename.
Bridget Dee baptized May 14 1843 father Thomas Dee mother Mary Mahony sponsors Matthew Mahony Bridget Holley They lived in Farranpierce.
The spelling for Thomas Dolan is likely Dooling or Dowling. No Thomas Dolan records in Kerry. Roots Ireland had nine Thomas Dooling baptismal records in Co. Kerry from 1836-1843. Without parents names, it will be difficult to confirm which record is correct. There is also a possibility that he was baptized in a parish that no longer has records back to 1840.

I looked at all the townlands in Co. Kerry which start with RA then I narrowed the records to three civil parishes in North Kerry which are connected to Ballybunion RC parish. I think the townland should be Rathroe in Lisselton civil parish.
