Looking for anyone who may have the same family story, our GGG grandparents lived in Leeds from around 1855, the census shows them as having being born in Dublin Ireland and later Prathfarn which I've taken to be the census takers erroneous spelling of Rathfarnham. We were told that the family had changed their name on arrival in England. The GGG grandparents were Francis and Mary Ambridge. Francis was born around 1820, Mary around 1823, they had 4 children Michael Margaret (born in Dublin) and Francis and John born in Leeds. We're told they changed their name when they came over - we don't know excatly what from but a couple of us have heard of Flanagan, we're not sure whether that's the family name or Mary's maiden name. If anyone has missing members of the family or has a similar story please get in touch.
