I am looking for more information on my 2nd Great-Grandmother.

Birth is June 24 1860 Ireland 

Immigrated to US in 1875

Lived in Ormand, Florida married to Alvia E Cusack (Alvin Edison Cusack)

Her death certificate says father is Murphy (no first name) born in Ireland

Mother is very confusing. Death certificate says mother is Mary McGee, Scotland. 1900 has mother’s birthplace as Ireland. 1910 census has mothers birthplace as England.

    I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland for an Elizabeth Murphy with mother Mary McGee and one 1849 record came up. This would be eleven years earlier than your 1860. Ironically, the date of baptism on this record was June 23rd and since baptisms were normally a couple days after birth, it is very close to your June 24th date.

  • I found that one as well. 

    My vital records has her death age listed as almost 58. Surely she would have known if she was older once she came over here. 14 to 25 is a big difference. 

    Did you see the copy of the vital records I have? Is there a possibility of them getting the dates wrong somewhere?
