I am in possession of a baptismal record for Ellen Riordan of Bruree. It has the date of 16FEB1848, Roman Catholic, Hospital and Herbertstown, witness - Mary Riordan. Her father was Edmond Riordan (1809/10, Bruff), her mother Ellen Condon (1813). They were married in 1842. Ellen and at least 2 of her brothers; John(1843) and Jeremiah (1849) as well as her father Edmond ended up in Chicago, Illinois, USA. I, of course, would like to find more information on the family.

Hi Janet,
Have you tried looking for Edmond and Ellen in the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38)? You might be able to find out a little more information about them, especially now as you have an idea of the location they lived.
The Limerick Archives hold marriage records from 1826 to 1900, so you should contact them for more information.

I see no marriage records from 1826-1900 of any type on that site.
