According to a baptismal list I have from cashel and emly diocesan trust and roots Ireland My G GM Anne English's parents were Edmund English (Cross)and Judith O'Brien sponsors James Connell and Mgt English. 
When I look at the  corresponding NLI parish register Anne and her siblings (Mary,John,Margaret possibly William)mother was in fact Judy Ryan. I know that I have Several DNA links to Morgan O'Brien (Moanmore) and Patrick Real(Pallas) and Judith O'Brien would be the most likely link but I'm not sure. I thought it could be Judy was married before and carries the marital name. 
My hope is that someone out there may have some information that might help me solve this puzzle.

  • Hi Patricia   I'm happy to post the baptism list but I'm not sure how to do this, can you help ? Anne English according to the list and rootsireland was born 7th January 1849 but as I say the NLI register shows Judy Ryan. Relatives that live in the Pallas believe that Annes mother to be Judith O'Brien but may not have access to records. They don't believe that they have Ryan relatives but I remember my mother who was brought up in Garranmore, Pallas telling me we were related to the great Paddy Ryan .     Hi Patricia. Sorry it’s taken so long but I have attached the baptismal record. 
    as you can see there are some mistakes especially when it comes to the grandparents.
