Greetings from the USA. I am trying to find out any information on my Maguire ancestors. My 2x grandfather, George Francis Maguire was born in April, 1850 in Wilmington, Delaware. I only have 1 census record from 1850 that lists his mother as Sarah, born 1820 in Ireland, and all his siblings who were also born in Ireland: Mary 1839, Ann 1841, James 1844, and John 1846. I am unable to find a father's name. I know historically the Maguires are from Northern Ireland, so I am starting here. George Maguire became a head wool carder in a woolen mill in Springfield, Massachusetts. He married a Kate Murray and they had 6 sons and 1 daughter. I have no further information so if anyone could point me in the right direction, I would really like to find out his father's name and his mother's maiden name and when they immigrated.
