    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I don't think you will find baptismal reocrds for Mark and Anne because records start later than the year of birth that you listed.

Here is Mark's civil death record from December 25, 1902. They lived in Callowfinish.

Here is the 1901 census record  http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Galway/Skannive/Callowfinish/1372546/

    1911 census  http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Galway/Skannive/Callowfinish/453523/

I been searching the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie for Anne's death record and this record is a possibility  https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1925/05003/4365680.pdf  It is also possible that Mary's death was not civilly recorded

I would contact the RC parish of Carna and see if they have records for the burials

  • Roger McDonnell & Michael Campion,

Thank you, for the information on Mark & Anne Conneely Folan.

    I printed the 1901 & 1911 census.  I also found a census for 1851, Moycullen, Killannin, Lettermore on Ancestry.com.

Mark Folan, appilcantm Father Roger Folan, Mother Bridget Walshe.

I found a Folan Family Tree by Josephine Kirby on Ancestry.com.  It has the same information I have on Mark.  His parents are listed but no birth or death dates.

I trying to help a person on my DNA matches on Ancestry.com,  find out how we are related.

My grandparents were Mark Folan, Jan.15,1870, Mar, 25, 1953, Innisherk, Lettermullen.  Annie Conneely, Jun 16,1867, Kylesallia, Kilkieran, July 30, 1952, Innisherk, Lettermullen.

  • Hi Mary!

I think we may have been in touch before.  You are a dna match to my husband Larry Murray, may he rest in peace.  His grandparents were John Joseph Connolly (1869-1933) and Annie Josephine Connolly (1866-1921).  John was born in Bunnahown, and Annie was born in Rusheenamanagh.  They married in Boston in 1902 and raised their family there.  John's parents were Hugh Conneely and Bridget Nee.  Annie's parents were Patrick Conneely and Sarah Conneely.

You are a 4th-6th cousin dna match to Larry, but you have a common match -- elenrose.  She is a 3rd cousin match to Larry.

I just saw this post and thought I would get in touch and see if you've found out any more about your grandmother Annie Conneely.  I would imagine that is how you are connected to Larry, although I don't know how elenrose fits in to this.  I think she told me you and she are related through the Cooney family.  My head spins with all of this!  lol!

Let me know if you have any thoughts on your connection with Larry.

    Thank you!
