Hello,
I've been trying to trace this particular branch of my family tree for years and after a lot of poring over Latin church records and finding/bugging long-lost family members for clues, I think I've finally managed to narrow my 3rd-great grandparents to the Kilcrohane/Muintervara parish.
Timothy Sullivan, b ~1810 & Ellen O'Neill, b~1815
Marriage record (1837) indicates they (or just Timothy?) were located in the townland of Faunmore/Fawnmore
Their first son, John Owen Sullivan was born in Faunmore on Christmas day, 1837
Their second son, William Sullivan, was born in Closh/Clash in 1840
Their third son, Daniel Thomas Sullivan was born in Montreal, Canada in 1848, so they presumably immigrated during the potato famine (best guess from evidence is 1847) and move to St. Lawrence County, NY, where Timothy and Ellen lived out the rest of their lives.
The Muintervara parish records only go back as far as 1820, so I've pretty much given up hope of finding out any more information about these Sullivans (their ubiquitous surnames don't help, either!)—though it would be amazing!—but what I would like to do is learn more about Kilcrohane and Faunmore/Clash and other things about life in this area during the 1810-1850 era. I'm planning a trip to visit next year, so I'd love to be able to know where to visit, what areas their farms/houses might have been, if there are any historical societies in the area who could help, anyone with book suggestions about the area, etc. I'd also like to confirm whether the current standing Catholic church (Star of the Sea) is the same building that was standing back when my family lived there. I've been obsessively hunting for this family for so long that I still have that voracious need to learn more about them, even if it's only context :-)
If there's anyone out there familiar with the Kilcrohane part of the world, I'd love to chat with you!

Dear anothercorksullivan,
There will be a Sheepshead Geaneology meetup next May 2020, I believe on the 19th in Kilcrohane. Which is about a 15 minute walk from Faunmore. Danny Tobin is the organizer and there will be a big Sullivan focus. It is my intention of going if at all possible.
My direct line absconded from Rossnacarheragh /Rusnachara beginning in the 1880's beginning with John A Sullivan my GGrandfather followed by his siblings then finally his parents. They owned a block of land in Lincoln Rhode Island, where I grew up, with 4 or 5 multi family homes. (I now live in Sarasota FL, but keep a place in RI for summers and holidays. I though that I saw at one time that of my ancesters was born at Faunmore. I can take another look.
Do you have a GEDMatch? You can email me directly at atsullivan0@gmail.com.
