Looking for children of Alexander McDonald and Mary Mitchel, possibly from Leitrim
My great, great grandmother was Anna McDonald. She was born in Ireland ca 1845 and died in Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA in 1915. Her death certificate states parents were Alexander McDonald and Mary Mitchel, but I cannot locate any combination like that anywhere.
She had brothers Michael (b ca 1840), Patrick (b ca 1850) and Alexander (b ca 1854), all in Bridgeport too. I am trying locate their births and other siblings.
Then family came from Ireland. She had nephews John Feeley (b. ca 1846), Patrick (b ca 1852), Michael (b ca 1864) and a possible niece Annie Feeley (b ca 1866). It is obvious that their mother was a McDonald, sister to my great great grandmother.
All of these Feeley individuals were in Bridgeport at one time or another and Michael indicates he is from the Manorhamilton area. Three of his children emigrated as well (John, Michael and Annie). !901 census shows him with wife Mary in Gortinar, Lurganboy. 1911 show Mary alone with some children as Michael is in USA at the time. Michael may have returned to Ireland as his son John states both parents in Ireland on his 1917 WWI draft registration.
There is a Terence Feeley who married a Bridget McDonald, possibly from the Kilmore, Killasnet area, but the names dates of their known children do not seem to fit.
Trying to locate name and ANY further information on the McDonald woman who bore John, Michael & Patrick Feeley, and thus hopefully locating more information on my great great grandmother's origins, as well as extending my tree.
Any information appreciated.

CB Weisbrot:
The subscription site Roots Ireland has a August 9 1859 baptism in Killasnet RC church for a Michael Feely with father Terence and mother Bridget McDonald. Likely this is the Michael in Gortinar in 1901.

On the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie there is a May 20 1886 civil marriage record between Michael Feehily and Mary McMorrow. The father of Michael was Terence (deceased) and the father of Mary was James (living). Mary was from Mullaghmore.

Roger, Thank you for your efforts on my behalf.
I am attempting to locate the family origins of my great great grandmother Anna McDonald (b ca 1845), daughter of Alexander McDonald and Mary Mitchel, but I have been unsuccessful. I was trying to do this through her sister who married a Feeley. If this woman's father was Alexander (mothers may differ), then I might be able to track family townland and more information.
My great great grandmother had brothers Michael McDonald (b ca 1840), Patrick McDonald (b ca 1850) and Alexander McDonald (b ca 1854), as well as the Feeley sister.
I thought that the Bridget McDonald who married Terence Feeley of Gortinar might possibly be her, but the names and dates of their children do not match seem to line up with the dates I have. For example, the Michael that came to US appears to have been born ca 1864, but Terence & Bridget's Michael was born 1859.
Michael's brothers were also in US and they are John Feeley (b. ca 1846), Patrick Feeley (b ca 1852), and a possible sister Annie Feeley (b ca 1866). I do not find any records for children of Terence and Bridget with those names and corresponding dates.
The Michael Feeley in the UK 1901 census is indeed my great great grandmother's nephew. He came to US in 1910. Three of his children emigrated as well (John, Michael and Annie). His wife, and their mother, was Mary McMorrow. By 1917, he was evidently back in Ireland.as per his son's WWI draft record.
So, basically, what I am hoping to confirm is that Bridget McDonald who married Terence Feeley is the daughter of Alexander McDonald and locate through her the place of her birth, because I cannot trace my great great grandmother, nor any or her 3 known brothers to an Alexander McDonald who had a wife Mary Mitchel.
Thank you again, Carol
