Hi All,

I'm currently planning a trip to photograph the memorial within the Fermoy Military Cemetery. I will be travellilng from Dublin and I'd like to ensure the cemetery is accessible. I am unable to tell from searching the internet if this is the case.

Is anyone able to confirm that I should be able to access - I'll be there on the 31st July.

  • Yes it's very easy to access, turn right at the Church of Ireland . It's at the back of the Famine Graveyard which is signposted from there, Will find out if there's another Military Graveyard in Dermot.

    You can edit messages (in case you want to correct a typo for example).

    Go to “My IrelandXO” in the top rh corner of the main screen
    Click on “My messages”
    Click on “my replies”

    You should then see your messages. Each has an edit and a delete button to enable you to change things.

    I am not sure everyone knows these facilities exist.

    I know I am a bit late with this, but there are many military burials in Beechfield Cemetery, Fermoy. I have a list of these and can search it if you didn't find what you are looking for.
