I have a number of Finlay ancestors who lived in Cavan from the 1750s. In particular family members who have memorials in the graveyard at Kildallon. I know of a David Finlay in 1826 and James Finlay a doctor of Killeshandra who died in 1848. I seek help in obtaining photos of Finlay memorials at Kildallon. Thank you, Peter Parrington, Melbourne Australia.

Hi Peter
I have alot of information on the two finlays you mention, David Finlay was a enslaver in Saint Croix in the late 1700 early 1800's and moved to Cavan them becoming a magistrate, his nephew James Alexander was a doctor in Killeshandra and died young. He was a son of David's brother George
David & George Father was James born 1709 and died 30th July 1778. I have no idea where. if you had any further info on the 1700's Id love to touch base
