My great grandmother was Honorah Elizabeth Fyans, born Co Galway - Athenry - 24 May 1845. I'm interested in any records of Fyans or similar surnames in Athenry from about 1820 to 1860.
Honorah married Peter Millane in Castlemaine, Vic., Australia in 1866. That Peter also married a julia Agnes Fyans, Honorah's cousin, in 1899 after Honorah died in 1898.
I have no record of the births and lineage of these Fyans families other than the information on their marriage and death certificates which is not particularly reliable.
