Hi there
I am looking for information and more importantly any photos of Garda Timothy Kearney (Carney) who was stationed in Croom between 1940 and 1962 and who may have lived there longer. He was a golfer and a gardener and his family would love any references to him of photos of him that may have be published or exhibited locally. Many thanks annmarie.part@gmail.com

    I have seen one record for a death, the only ex Garda in a list, says he was a widower.
    I would need a name of a wife or child, as this record is in Dublin.

  • Another idea...contact the local history librarian in Croom.  His photo may have appeared in the local paper or an anthology of the town.  Good luck!
