I will organise a Gathering of the Corcorans who emigrated from Clonfert (Cloonshease, Persse) to Green Isle Minnesota in mid August.

Other names in the family were Walsh, Kennedy, Larkin, Madden, Polland, Mahon, Mulrey.

  • Hi Gerard,

As the parish meet and greet team we will arrange some events to coincide with the Corcoran gathering. As you are aware we have some very interesting sites here such as Meelick Abbey, Clonfert Cathedral the graveyard of which is where the Corcorans are buried. We willl also take the group to see their ancestoral homes. Looking forward to the visit.

  • Hello Gerard,

Any chance any of those Corcoran's turned off in Minnesota and went to Corcoran, Minnesota?  My great grandmother Catherine Corcoran married a Kennedy in Corcoran, MN.  I believe Kennedy arrived early 1800's too but having trouble nailing all this down.

  • Hi Gerard,

Any chance you wouldn't mind being interviewed for a Masters thesis on the success of The Gathering?
