I am unsure as to how much researching you have done on Peter, so I will add what I have observed.  According to his death cert he was a Land Surveyor, this means that he most likely had a good income at some stage in his life.

I found a baptismal entry for a Peter dated 17 June 1863, he may have died before your Grandad was born.  I found a John, that got married in Killeshandra 01-Jul-1861 but as you can see from below there is very little other information.

I am assuming that the church they attended was St. Bridget's in Killeshandra as it is the ony church in that parish and the townland of Tully appears from the maps to be closest to Killeshandra rather than Arva.  Whether Peter is buried with his first wife is hard to tell.  Often women went back to be buried with their own people, when they died before their husbands particularly at a young age.  But you could write to the church and ask them to look at their burial records also keep an watch for online grave records as volunteers record and post them online. 

I dont live near Killeshandra so you could look online for Killeshandra History and Heritage Societies, they may be able to help you further.    You could also send your queries to linda@ anglocelt.ie, this is the main newspaper that is read in Co. Cavan and it would reach a wider local audience, hopefully you would get a response, if you have photos, they like to publish old photos and include your contact details.
