Thank you for your message. Do you have any additional information which may assist others in furthering your research? Do you know much about their emigration? The dates, the reason why they left, who they may have travelled with?..etc..Generally more information was given at the port of arrival rather than the port of departure. If you knew which city they arrived at (e.g. Liverpool, New York, etc.), this could be a good place to find more information. -And perhaps even find out an exact place of origin.

I don't know where my grandfather came from. All I know is that he was listed on my mother's birth certificate as her father and living on Caledonia Road in Saltcoats, Scotland on March 26, 1926, and that he was an engine-fitter journeyman. There is no other information other than my grandmother was Jane Lambie in Kilwinning, Scotland. Jane's birth parents are listed as Andrew Little and Agnes McLean also of Kilwinning. I am trying to find any possible connection to family. Thank you

Hi, Joseph McDonald and Catherine E Gillon were my great grandparents.  I found innformation that Ellen's maiden name was Donnelly and she was born in Glascow Scotland and that Joseph's parents were John (birthdate 1825) and Bridget (birthdate 1980) McDonald and they were born in Ireland.

If anyone has any further information please share
