Looking for information re. Sarah Gordon (my 3rd Great Grandmother) and her large family who emigrated from County Cavan (we don't know where) to Ontario, Canada around 1832 (at which time, she was a widow with twelve children). We don't know her husband's name (we think it was James); nor do we know her family name.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might know anything of this family - or - with guidance as to how to proceed...

What was the religious denomination for the family? The subscription site Roots Ireland has seven Gordon baptismal records from 1823-1840 in the Ballymachugh Church of Ireland parish-- father John Gordon and his wife Sarah.
I know you have the family leaving in 1832 so this may not be the correct family.

To the best of my knowledge, the family was Wesleyan Methodist.
