i am looking to get my grandmother's birth certificate or baptismal certificate. Her name was Bridget Agnes Whalen. She was born in 1871. her family lived in Rosmuc. She emigrated with two sisters Sara and Ellen. Related to Kanes (keanes). i am hoping to get irish citizenship. I have access to all the other records to accomplish this goal.I am hoping to do this for my children and grandchildren. She may have been born in Kilmeelickin but the family is from Rosmuc.

Civil registration records are available from the General Register Office (GRO). These start from 1864. You can access the website here: http://www.groireland.ie/research.htm
