Hello can anyone help ? My grandmother was born in Cork in 1926 most likely to an unmarried mother. Does anyone know what is likely to have happened to her . I understand she would more than likely have been sent to a workhouse . I think she may have been in Midleton workhouse , but would realy like to find out where her parents lived and how long she was in the workhouse for . I know she married in England in 1952. I am taking my mother to Cork later this year and would love to be able to show her where her parents / grandparents were from but I am finding it difficult to find any information. If any can help in any way at all it would really help. Grandmother is now deceased.
Iv gone as far I can with sites like Ancestry , If anyone can help thankyou.
