In regards to gunpowder explosions in Delaware in the 19th and early 20th centuries, I am looking for information on the following individual (s):
Francis Leonard, Glasstown or Port,Townland in Killashandra ED, in Kildallan Civil Parish, in Barony Tuylloghonoho; Barony also known as Tullyhunco, I think.
Francis started at the powder yards circa 1813 and died in the very first fatal explosion at the mills in June of 1815. The interesting thing to note is that a woman by the name of Christiana Cream wrote a letter from Philadelphia to the du Ponts, asking about her husband, named Francis Leonard, telling them that he was German, hardly spoke an English at all, and the name he used at home was Francis Cream.
