My 2nd great grandparents were Maurice John Haley born about 1818 in Ireland and Hanna D. Daley born about 1834 in County Cork. They emigrated to Massachusetts in the mid 1800's and died in Gloucester, Massachusetts. One of their daughters, Mary A. Haley, was born on 25 August 1849 in County Cork. The rest of their children were born in Massachusetts. Maurice's parents were John Haley and Ellen Sullivan. Hanna's parents were Michael Daley and Mary H. Roach. As yet I have had no success in finding any information in any Irish record but am continuing to search. That is all I know about my Irish relatives but I would like to find out more about them, where they lived, and if I still have any relatives in Ireland. Jeff Graham

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I located a possibly marriage record for the couple on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie The 1844 record showed Maurice Healy not Haley. The church was in Cork city.
No baptismal records for children were available on the site.

Hi, Roger. It was great hearing from you. I think you found the first piece of information about my ancestors in Ireland even though the spelling of Haley is different. Now I have an idea of where to look for more information to see if this is really them. I don't know how you did it. It took me an hour to find the citation even with all the information you gave me. Thanks again. Maybe we'll be speaking again in the future. Jeff Graham
