Hello. My name is Anthony McCarthy. I live in Huyton, Liverpool , England.

I am searching for any information relating to my grandfather , "Martin Josheph Hannon" who may or may not have come from "Sligo" in Ireland. I do not have a lot of information to go on . The only information that I have is that my grandfather  was born on 03 May 1900. His father's name was also called "Martin" (his occupation was farmer).  I did find a "Martin Hannon" who came from "Killarney , County Kerry" who I thought was my grandfather , but I have just recently found out that this was the wrong "Martin Hannon" and he is not my grandfather.

Any help or information saying that my grandfather , "Martin Josheph Hannon" may have come from "Sligo "  would be most greatly appreciated by me.  Thanking you.

    Don't know if this is the right guy, but I found a Martin Hannon born in Lomcloon, Co. Sligo. The date of birth isn't a match, this guy is born 27 Dec 1897. His father is Martin Hannon and mother is Maria McDonagh. This is the only Martin Hannon I could find, whose father is also Martin Hannon.

    I have just looked at your email regarding my enquiry seeking any information about my grandfather , "Martin Hannon" who may have or may not have come from "Sligo".  I will certainly look at the information you have given me.     The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie  was down last night and is down this morning (USA East Coast time). That site would allow you to search for all Martin Hannon civil births in 1900 to see if you can locate your Martin. When it comes back up, I will take a look.
