Harringtons and Quills

Hello,

My name is Jayen and I'm looking for the ancestors of my great great grandmother, Johanna Harrington (married name Donnelly).  Her parents were Jermiah Harrington and Margaret Quill and they lived in Castletownbere parish before immingrating to Charleston, Boston, Massachusetts, America.

I'm a little confused because I can't find a parish named Castletownbere so I hope I have today's parish correct.

There is a short, full report below but the highlights of the Irish section are here.  All children married in Charleston after immigrating.  Spouses and marriage dates:

• Johanna to Patrick Donnelly (they move to New York City where they livedand his occupation was a NYC policeman) 30 June 1863
• Patrick to Julia Murphy 1854
• Margaret to De4nis Moynihan 1869
• Julia to William Shannon 1869
• ******************************************************

Baptisms for five children of Jeremiah Harrington and Margaret Quill were located in Castletownbere parish, County Cork, summarized information is below.  The township would have been Bulisky? or any of its spellings.??

Patrick, baptized 27 March 1831, address Bulisky, sponsors Jeremiah Neil, Mar Rohan

Margaret, baptized 28 April 1833, address Bullusk, sponsor Margaret Quill

Johanna, baptized 19 Sep 1836, address Bolesk, sponsors John Launey & Catherine Neil

Catherine, baptized 13 Oct 1839, address Ballard, sponsors Timothy Casey & Johanna Quill

Julia, baptized 14 Jan 1842, address Bullesk, sponsors Denis Shea & Mary Cahalihan

(Catherine is not listed in America so assumed she died before reaching adulthood)

• During this time period, there are many Harringtons (Patrick, James, John, Denis), there are no Jeremiahs.  These records show 4 Jeremiah Harringtons occupying land in the whole county of Cork, 3 of them in Killaconeagh parish.  One of the 3 may be the Jeremiah of this family.
• There are also no Quill’s in the parish.  The nearby parish of Kilcatherine, also on the Bear Peninsula, shows Quills listed in the Tithe.
• The researcher concluded that of the three Jeremiah Harringtons listed in the Tithe records, he is either the one residing in the townland of Gortagraffer, or his holding was so small that he is not listed at all. Jeremiah and his family could have been residing with family member. 
• Considering Irish naming traditions, it’s likely that Jeremiah’s father was named Patrick, and there is a Patrick listed in the townland of Felane Middle (written as WHILANE in the tithe record)  The holding consisted of 230 acres and was described as a “mountain”.  
• Death records for Ireland begin long after Patrick and his sisters had arrived in the United States.  It’s probably safe to assume that an event such as the death of their parents prompted the siblings to emigrate.  There are numerous death records for Jeremiah Harringtons in the area of Castletownbere from 1864-1880, some are even a plausible age. 

Well, if anyone recognizes any of this information in their own ancestry or can direct me to a good source to do further research, I would appreciate it.  I would like to visit the area this year and any info I have ahead of time would help narrow them down in this great crowd of Harringtons:)).
