Searching for info on a George Dixon and Margaret Hull. They had a daughter Ellen Constance born c 1875 but later went to England to school. I really do not know any more and am just testing the area to see if anyone knows anything.

Have you checked the website www.irishgenealogy.ie? They have a lot of church records from Dublin on their site And it is free to look through.
In addition, you should also check out the National Archives website. They have the Census records from 1901 and 1911, and these could be a great help to you, even giving you information or clues as to family that remained in Ireland.

In your planning, you have likely determined or attempted to find the location of the birth, and a civil registration record.
If the Dixon/Hull were St.Mary's Pro RC parishoners, Have you determined if records are available on the child and family from the parish records?
And if not, you have followed the family in England, including the school records.
You have worked backward chronologically from what you know, building upon all clues gathered in ___, in England, and Ireland.
