What aother sources indicated that the father of Anne was Timothy?

Hi roger,

Looking through my records the only thing with a real name on it is a baptism record. The other is other people trees etc but I’m well aware it’s not anywhere near reliable. Looking through, I’ve made all the dna connections through Anne’s siblings and no one has gone past her and her siblings. So it could be either. For All her siblings I also have baptism records saying Timothy.

The bride's age was 23. Was the marriage in 1869?   If her age was accurate she was a decade younger than the one on the baptism record.

Have you tried to find children of the 1869 marriage?

Whoops I didn’t even notice the dates and age difference, silly me. Working through what I have the marriage dob of 1846 fits what I originally had and fits with the info I have, the only problem then is Anne’s siblings.

The parents names I have for the are Timothy and Julia/Joan lane. Not so much worried about the parents here because I need the siblings to match up with Anne as through Denis and Ellen I can link to dna matches and names.

The siblings are

Jude or Judy b abt 1831.

John b abt 1841

Mick b abt 1845

Denis b abt 1846

Ellen b abt 1856.

Anne’s children have to be right as I’ve matched them up and the names were in the register book in the church of immaculate conception in kanturk.

What are the names and dates for Anne's children?  Were their births registered?

Anne / Annie. 1877

Names also come from the register book in the church of the immaculate conception, kanturk. All registered in cork. Mainly kanturk I think.

I am Marié Claassen de Vries from South Africa. Found info about a marriage between a Jeffrey O'Connell and Hannah Falvey. Their first child Michael was baptised  1797. Unable to find further information. I am a descendant of a Dr. Jeffrey O'Connell born abt 1750.  Who married Elizabeth Ross of Kent in 1804. He was an old man when he married Elizabeth Ross and named their first child Michael b. 1804. My problem is to find whether this is the same person married twice and what happened to Hannah Falvey and their child Michael baptised in 1797. If Hannah and baby Michael died, was it an Irish habit to name the next child Michael again? I have now reached the proverbial brick wall. Marie, hello and welcome. In answer to your question about giving a child the same name as a previous child who had died  -  yes, it was common, if the name was important, e.g. if the child had been named after a grandparent. 

It might be better if you posed your enquiry on a new thread where, hopefully,  it will be noticed by more people.
