My great great great Grandfather was Kerrin Keegan. he was born in Croghan, Kings County, Ireland in 1819 and immigrated to America. He married Margretta (Margret Etta) Smith from the Parish of Lavic County, Ireland in New York. I would greatly appreciate any information anyone had about the Keegan family. Thank you,

Amber Keegan Hayes

  • Do you know if Kerrin had any brothers as his birth year is very close to my ancestor (Andrew Keegan b:1815)?

  • Im not sure if he had siblings, or who they would be. I can only trace my family back to when they came to America. One old book from the county they lived in here in Iowa stated that Kerrin was from Croghan. They were catholic, I was hoping that the church in the county in Ireland might have record of his birth, as I believe the census records for much of Ireland were destroyed in a fire, or that someone would know the name Kerrin Keegan.
