I have - Simon Higgins born in Ireland 1821 married in Ireland to Bridget Donnelly 1830. They had a child born 1841 ( Ellen) born on the boat from Ireland, and arrived on Prince Edward Island 1849.
They had a total union of 6 children.

Hello Patricia,
I went to www.rootsireland.ie and did a search for Simon and Bridget. The name Simon is quite uncommon so it makes it easier to pinpoint. I found a marriage record for Simon Higgens married to Bridget Donnelly in 1846 in the parish of Portarlington (Roman Catholic) in Co. Laois. You will need to register and pay per view to see this record but it's not too expensive.
If the record contains their parents names you will be able to search this site for their baptismal records.
