Honora was baptized on 26 March 1820 in the parish of Hospital/Herbertstown. Daughter of Thomas and Margaret McCann. Sponsors Tim Cronin and Margaret McCann,
Honora left London aboard the Berkshire on 20 November 1840 as an assisted migrant. She arrived in Sydney on 13 March 1841.
She married a Dublin man Michael Kearns who was a convict.
Looking for any relatives of Nora and Michael.

Hi Ann,
The attached baptism record for Ellen McCann is a possibility. See bottom of right hand page.
Sponsor: John Croneen could be Cronin.
The Civil parish of Caherelly is in the Barony of Clanwilliam and County of Limerick. Parishes and Dioceses did not have exact boundaries.

Thanks McCoy, I appreciate you taking the time to get in contact.
I have already found her on the baptismal register for Hospital/Herbertstown with the help of Ireland XO.
I have a record of her arrival in Sydney in 1841. I was hoping to make contact with any family in the Hospital or Bruff area. Her immigration card states that she was from Bruff, County Limerick.
She was an assisted migrant.
It's really interesting getting to know our history. Eileen McCann could be a relative so I will add her as a possibility.

Hi Ann,
The town of Bruff would be the most convenient town for the parishioners of Herbertstown and Ballybricken-Bohermore (Civil Caherelly).
I attach a record of the baptism of a William McCann in 1806 in Caherelly. Possible brother to Ellen McCann.
The surname "McCann" appears quite often in the British Military in County Limerick early 1800's.

Thank you McCoy.
I think William is the brother of Honora.
