Searching for the name of the ship that John Speer from Antrim to Donegal ( Ballyshannon) to Maryland, USA came on in the summer of 1665.  The name of the captain was John Dunstayne.

    I've attached a guide produced by Genealogist Brian Mitchell of Derry's Tower Museum, that may help in your research concerning emigration.  If you have no luck contact Brian at genealogy@derrystrabane.com he has carried out extenisve research work on emigration from the North West of Ireland.

    Also, it may be useful to review the reocrds avaiable on the irish Family History Foundation webiste - 

    The database whose construction he supervised from 1982 to 2007, containing one million records (dating from 1642 to 1930) extracted from the major civil and church registers of County Derry can now be accessed, in partnership with Derry City and Strabane District Council and The Irish Family History Foundation, at www.rootsireland.ie.
