I am looking for information on James Mee and Margaret Mee (nee Mee). They along with nine children left Ireland for Australia in 1884 on boad SS Pathan. James was the son of Thomas Mee and Mary Simpson. Margaret was the Daughter of James Mee and Julia Antisell. James and Margaret were married in the Kilflyn Church of Ireland on 19 January 1869. I am looking for any information about the family before they left for Australia. Were they related before the married? Are the descended from Palatines?

    I went to www.familysearch.org and found the civil marriage index record below. You can write to the GRO www.groireland.ie and get a copy of the record for around 4 euros. it will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where they were living when married. You may have this information but I also found baptismal index record for four of their children in Kilfinnane Co. Limerick as follows:

    Do you know if Thomas had a brother John Mee born 1834 Cavan.

    I have a John Mee with possibly a brother Thomas but havent found out any more yet.
