I am seeking information about my great-grandparents, John and Elizabeth Anne (Pierce) JACOB. Apparently they worked at the Oak Park Estate. There they had 12 children. The family left Ireland in the very early 1900's. John JACOB's father was also named John JACOB. I don't know anymore about his family, including his mother's name. Elizabeth Anne PIERCE's parents were James PIERCE and Selina WALTON. Any information about any of these families would be most appreciated.

Below is the 1901 census record for the family. Also included is a separate census record for a George Jacob probably brother to John.
There was a large house with 24 rooms listed near the Jacob house. The house was owned by Henry Bruen. I assume that was Oak Park Estate.

CJ:
Your GGparents interest me because the 1901 census lsts them as Irish Church members. Did they have a Scots-Irish background? I'm the adminstrator of the Jacob Surname Y-DNA Project and hope one of your male Jacob relatives can test to see if there is a connection. My ancestor emmigrated to America in 1660 and my family is hoping to connect to our Scots-Irish roots.
Best regards,

Hi Chris ... IF there is a Scots-Irish background, I don't know it. I know my great-grandfather was JOHN JACOB and he worked, along with his wife, Elizabeth Anne (Pierce) at the Oak Park Estate. I have been unable to go back a generation. I do not know John's parents or siblings other than George JACOB who shows on the 1911 Census of Ireland. I'm hoping to find help here! Carol
