You haven’t said what denomination Rebecca was. Looking at the 1901 census for Tyrone most Main(e)s  households were Catholic. Tradition was to marry in the bride’s church but if it was a mixed marriage, in the late 1700s, the husband would have had to convert to Catholicism. Where he wasn’t prepared to do that couples often married in the Church of Ireland (which would marry anyone).

Carnteel Church of Ireland has baptism, marriage & burial records from 1805 onwards. They are not on-line anywhere so far as I am aware but there is a copy in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast. A personal visit is required to view them. The local Presbyterian church – Aughnacloy - has no records before 1812. Again there’s a copy in PRONI. The RC church (parish of Aghaloo) has no records before 1846. 

If Rebecca was born c 1776, she probably married 1796 – 1805 or thereabouts. Just before the start of any records I suspect.  So if she married in Carnteel, there’s probably no record to find. But you might find Anna Jane’s baptism if it was Church of Ireland or Presbyterian.

Thank you for the advice. I am not sure and haven't found anything to confirm her religion. I will continue to search but know that most of that family branch were Irish Catholic.
