James Fitzgibbon and Maria Margaret Sullivan - married 1841 Bulgaden.. I need help with both of their parents names please ♥

On the paid site Roots Ireland, their marriage is 13 Feb 1841, there are no parents names nor residences listed; but one of the witnesses was Catherine Sullivan. For Kate Fitzgibbon's baptism on 8 Jan 1841, the two sponsors are John Sullivan and Johanna Sullivan. There is another son, Patrick Fitzgibbon born 10 Mar 1844; but the two sponsors are neither a Sullivan nor Fitzgibbon. One can probably assume that the Sullivan names are close relations to Maria..possible siblings or cousins. I could not find any other children for this couple. 

Regarding death records for James and Maria, you can look on irishgenealogy.ie post 1871 when the records began. I believe that the correct registration district for their area is Kilmallock. Finally, I did not find any Fitzgibbons in the 1901 census in Ballinscaula.

I have Maria & James marriage record- sponsors are Joanne Sullivan, Jacobus McCartney and Cath Sullivan .. I have found 11 children for Maria & James ..Can I assume maria parents to be Joannes & Cath Sullivan ??

Since you know their children’s names, you are a better judge than I. IF they followed the Irish naming tradition, then their second son would be John and their first daughter Catherine. And maybe you could assume these were her parent’s names, but of course, there were exceptions to this tradition. Another thought is if you can find the marriage record of one of her younger siblings, the parent’s names might be mentioned there.

I am sorry to butt in on this conversation but I am aware that a woman called Janice Webb who lives in Vancover is also trecking this information as she believes that Kate Fitzgibbon is connected with her family.
