James Flynn my great grandfather was living in Manchester England on 1911 census and lists his place of birth as Dowra Cavan. He was born around 1873. I think his parents were Patrick and Catherine. Patrick, I believe was a tenant farmer in Blacklion, I've only found this information by research, there are no family records or oral history. James potentially had a brother Peter that also moved to Manchester and a sister Mary Ann who emigrated to USA. I would love to be able to confirm what I've found, and if there are any Flynn relatives still living in Cavan.

Dowra is on the border with Co. Leitrim, so if you don't find the Flynns in Cavan civil and church records, you might want to check Leitrim's as well.
Did you look at all the later records for James--the UK records--such as marriage, death, obituary, death notice, headstone, probate, his children's and siblings' records? Did you look at all of the censuses he was in--was he in the UK for the 1901 or earlier censuses? Or was he in Ireland for its 1901 census?
Gleaning info from the above will assist you in finding the family in Ireland.
I apologize if you have already done this; it wasn't clear from your posting. Happy hunting!Patricia
