Hi,
I am trying to find the Birth details and Marriage details of James Lynch. Born in 1849 and died 1929. Buried in Teampall Cheallaigh Cemetry. He is in both 1901 and 1911 Census. Would appreciate any help you can give me.

We need some additional information and it would help if you attached the 1901 and 1911 census records. Was James from Templeachally parish in Co.Tipperary?

The information I have is as follows:
(this James) came to Aughalion from Castlerahan, as a young child during the famine to live with an uncle. This ties in with a date of birth of circa 1845 as the famine years were 1847 to 1849. His only sibling a sister called Mary was sent to America and was never heard of again We have the Death Certificate for James and Rose so we know those details but his birth / parents we cant find.

Assuming James was from Castlerahan and born around 1845 then a baptismal record would not be available. Castlerahan RC parish has a gap on baptismal records from May 1841 to August 1854.
I still have not found the marriage record. On the 1911 census, Rose indicated she was married 45 years, was born in Cavan and had ten children but only seven were living in 1911. Based on 45 years, the marriage likely occurred from 1865-1867 (Patrick was born in 1868). The marriage may not have occurred in Castleraham if Rose was from a different parish.
I can provide the names of the children if you need that info.

Hi Roger, thanks for your help. They could have been married in Ballyjamesduff in 1866 I have tried various sites but could not find any marriage records.
A relative has confirmed that James and Rose are related as they got the death certificate and also confirmed the burial site which is Ballyjamesduff cemetry. I am trying to discover James parents as this is the missing link in the family tree
.Thomas Lynch is my grandfather he was born in 1875 in oldcastle Co Meath and he married a Maria Smith 1881 to 1941.
