I am looking for any kind of record of my fourth great grandfather, James Wallace of Donegal. I have no other information other than he probably died some time between 1833-1839? His wife, was Agnes Cowie (spelling?) and a son Thomas who married an Elizabeth McFaul, McPhail, (again, not sure on the correct spelling. I believe he was a farmer. I want to know what parish they where from and a more refined area. I imagine the parish is the only place there still may be birth, death and marriage records. Thank you for any help

Hi bubby,
The Tithe Applotments (free at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/) have 4 James Wallaces in Donegal in 1827-34; parishes are Donagh, Leck & Urney.
This is the closest burial record to 1833-39 from rootsireland.ie/:
Name:JamesWallaceDate of Death:04-Mar-1842
Age:75Parish / District:CLONDAVADDOGAddress:HerkinCounty:Co. DonegalStatus:
Denomination:Church Of IrelandOccupation:
Sex:MaleDo you know if they were C of I or R C?
I couldn't find a marriage record of James & Agnes on roots or a baptism for Thomas or his marriage I'm afraid
