    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find any records for the Morris brothers or sister Bridget. I believe they were all baptized before records are now available for therir parish. Also, is it possible the surname was Morrison which was a much more common surname in Co. Sligo? Did the Morris brothers emigrate? You may want to add their stories to our XO Chronicles site.

  • Good day Roger, I hope you are well, thank you so much for your help here, all the info has been taken from the Census's when they came to Bolton, England, they all stayed here and passed here (England) from what I can gather, they are all empolyed as Tailors and Clothiers, the DOBs are varied, and checking the records, it seems Darbys mother was called Mary and also came to live in Bolton but no further details with her so I am stumped :)  on the note of his name, there are 2 death records for him, 1 for Darby, 1 for Jeremiah, so quite possible he was known mainly as Darby, which I understand is short for Diarmiud and the same as Jeremiah, thank youso much Roger, I appreciate it.
