Hi has soon as things get back to normality, I'm visiting Cloontuskert Ballintober, County Roscommon, to see for myself were my 2nd Great Grandad came from, and hopefully find were he was born, I've been told it was Gallagh, his name Patrick Scally Married Mary Ryan, they got married in Nantwich Cheshire April 1870 and had 6 children

Mary
Patrick was 19 years of age when he married Mary Ryan,
Patrick died in 1907 in Wigan Lancashire,
His Daughter Jane his my Great grandmother, Patrick left a great legacy,

The 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Cloontuskert civil parish shows four Scally households in Gallagh. Head of households were John, John Jr., Peter and Thomas. Unfortunately, the RC parish records for the area do not start until 1865 so a baptismal record for Patrick would not be available.
