I am looking for information on Joanna Lahart, baptised 23 March, 1830 in Ballingarry Parish, Diocese Cashel & Emly in County Tipperary. Her parents were John Lahart and Bridget Pollard. She had twin siblings, Mary and Richard baptised 31 October, 1827; a brother James baptised 8 October, 1832; a sister Catharine baptised 14 November, 1834; and another sister Margaret baptised 29 March, 1837.
I have found this information on the National Library of Ireland site. There appeared to be MANY families with the name Pollard as well as quite a few families named Lahart in this parish at that time from 1827 through 1839 when the baptism records for this parish ended on the National Library of Ireland site.
I also checked marriages for this parish which were listed beginning in 1826, but there was no record for a marriage of John Lahart and Bridget Pollard.
My Grt-Grt-Grandmother was Joanna Lahart born in 1830 in County Tipperary. She married Bernard Fitzpatrick either in Ireland or after emigrating to the US, and their first son, MIchael, was born in 1859 in St. Louis, Missouri according to the 1860 US Census. By the time of the 1870 US Census, the famiy was living in Paint Creek, Iowa and they had another son John born in 1862 and a daughter Ellen born in 1864. Ellen is my Grt-Grandmother. As of the 1880 US Census, Bernard was a widow. I have checked for any death information for Joanna Fitzpatrick, nee Lahart, and so far have found nothing.
As for information prior to them being in St. Louis, Missouri, all I know is that Joanna's maiden name was Lahart and she was born in Tipperary in 1830.
The only information I could find for any Joanna Lahart in Tipperary at that time was from the baptism information listed above. She would have been Roman Catholic.
Does anyone out there know of any informatoin that would help me link this Joanna Lahart to my Grt-Grandmother Joanna Lahart Fitzpatrick?
Thank you,
Bobbie H

Sorry for the delayed response.
I looked on the subscription site Roots Ireland and the subscription site FindMyPast and the only baptismal record I saw was the 1830 record you located. I also looked on FindMyPast for the marriage record to Bernard Fitzpatrick but did not find the record.
On Roots Ireland, I also found one other baptismal record for a Bridget Lahart with John Lahart and Bridget Pollard as parents and John Pollard Ellen Kennedy as sponsors. The date was August 10 1840 Ballingarry church The key finding was that the family lived in Lisnamrock townland in Ballingarry civil parish.

Hello Roger,
Thank you so much for your response! The affirmation of Johanna Lahart's baptismal record and the new information about her sister Bridget and the Townland where they lived are priceless to me. Every little nugget is a possibility towards finding something that will tie my Grt-Grt-Grandmother to her homeland in Ireland.
I'm currently living in County Clare and would love to be able to actually go to the place where they came from. I will check out Lisnamrock Townland in Ballingarry, and an additional sibling could provide even more connections.
Thank you again,
Bobbie
