Am searching for the origins of John Manning and his wife Margaret who emmigrated to the US sometime approx. 1866-1868. At the time they had a daughter Mary (age 2-3 yrs.).

They settled in the state of Minnesota, USA.

  • hello photomoulman

I am also researching Manning from Cork, do you know the area they were from? My connection to MANNING is this: -

My great grandmother was Bridget Hegarty born in Queenstown, Cork 1871, her mother was Ellen Manning who married Patrick Hegarty. Other children I know of were Margaret born c1869 & Patrick who was born in Schull (Skull)

Bridget married my great grandfather Michael Donovan in New Weymouth, MA in 1895 but they didn't settle there.  Still researching what happened to Patrick Hagerty & Ellen Manning. Not sure if any connection to your Manning's?

    Happy hunting!

    Diane
