I am looking for John and Mary Fisher, who came over to England from Ireland, sometime prior to 1851. Mary’s maiden name was Early and she had a relative called Bridget Early with her in Manchester in 1851. John worked as a moulder/figure maker, probably in the pottery industry and was most likely of the Roman Catholic faith.

I would be grateful for any information that can be provided.

Regards,

John Fisher.

  • Hi John,

I have attached the record from ancestry which shows the marriage of SAMUEL Fisher to Mary Ann Early in Liverpool 15th June 1850.

Could this be the Fisher you are looking for?

  • Hi Col,

Many thanks for taking the time to research this. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like these are the same people, as I'm fairly certain that John fisher was only ever known by that name.

    Regards,

    John.
