I am looking for information about John Deyell and his wife, Magaret Lancashire, prior to them leaving Ireland. The only information about them living in Ireland is from oral tradition and a plaque on the outside wall of the Protestant Hall, in Drum, County Monaghan. They moved to Canada in the year of 1816. John received a military land grant of 200 acres in what became Cavan Township. John may have changed his surname from Dalziel to Deyell. I am a Great Great Great Great Grandson of John and Margaret.
Thanks.
