Trying to trace my grandfathers time in Canada. John Donnelly originally from Townland Derrymain (or Derrymeen as also known) Coalisland, Co Tyrone.

We believe he went to Montreal Quebec to work as a logger.

The outbound travel document states he went to a friend WJ Heniphey, 347 St Clement, Maisonette, Montreal. This must have been his contact to help him settle in Canada.

He was left Ireland during the Easter Rising and was allowed to return many years later after an amnesty

Would anyone know where I would start.. many thanks!
