I have found various spellings to this last name but the name came down to us as Lutterell. I am looking for more information on this family. My line goes from Margaret Mary Lutterell (b. 1897 Dublin), to father Richard Lutterell (d. 1901 Dublin), then his parents, John Lutterell married to Margaret Byrne, then his parents, John Lutterell married to Allice Walsh. The family of John and Allice lived in Kilkenny when they had John. John and Margaret Byrne appeared to live in Kilkenny (Diocese-Ossory) when they had their children. They later moved to Dublin and resided there during the weddings of their sons, Richard and Edward. I have no record of John and Margaret Byrne Lutterell's deaths.
Richard married Bridget Hughes and following his death in 1901, Bridget moved to USA. Her children were placed in an orphanage in Dundalk and came to the USA in 1906.
I received help and gained some of this information through this site before but any additional help, going back to the two John's and before would be most appreciated. I am looking for connected and dead/surviving Irish relatives.

Hello Maggie, Thank you for you response. I am not familiar with the geography in Ireland although I honeymooned there in 1971. One of sources mentions St. John's (Roscommon). John Lutterell was born 19 Jul 1827 his baptism was also in July, Callan, Kilkenny, Ossory.. His parents are listed as John and Allice Walsh. He married Margaret Byrne 11 Nov 1857. At that time his residence was listed as Mandlin Street, St John's Kilkenny, Ossory Margaret was born in 1835. His name is also found as Lutteral, Luteral, Lutral, etc. I am related to him through my ggrandfather, Richard Lutterell b. 12 Feb 1860 Castlewarren, Claragh, Pitt and Castlewarren. Richard died in Jan 1901 in Dublin. Richard married Bridget Hughes 30 Jan 1887 St Andrews RC Church, Dublin. John and Allice had other chiildrenJoanna, Michael and Alice both listed in Ossory, St Johns, Kilkenny City. They had a son Edward who was married in 1887 in Dublin, Harrington. St Kevin's. I don't have the place of Edward's birth but he was born in 1888.
