Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I checked the subscription site Roots Ireland and saw baptismal records for three children. There was a child baptized on August 3, 1844 but no first name was shown on the register. There was a Sarah baptized May 27, 1850 and a Rebecca baptized February 19, 1853. I was not able to locate a marriage record but marriage records for the parish start in November 1843.

I assume there were other children since you are a McBride?

Thank you Roger. Yes, I have the baptismal record info for the unnamed child of John/Nancy McBride. Joan Patton of Donegal Ancestry found it a few years ago and told me about it. But i do appreciate the microfilm record of the event. The time frame fits nicely for my Great grandfather's baptism.....1844. He joined the Union Navy in 1862, so he would have been 18 at the time. All passenger lists have proven to be dead ends...fruitless searches, etc. I think Derry was the most likely port, and perhaps St. John's in Nova Scotia. He went to New York and took naturalization papers in Philadelphis during our Civil War. I do not have any evidence that he had relatives here in US when he immigrated.. I posted on IReland XO to see if there was a current Donegal based family who has researched the genealogy well and might have more info on the possible brother to the two named baptized girls of 1850 and 1853. I will add those names to my bulletin board query. That may prove useful. As to St. Johnston's parish church.....the Griffiths Valuation of 1857 lists two John McBride resident in Raymoghy....one living in the townland of Kincraigy, and one in the townland of Moneymore. Which townland is more likely to have had baptisms at the church shown on the microfiche....named Taughboyne, Killea & All Saints.??? Also, we do have a death record of a John McBride at age 61 in 1875, and a Nancy McBrearty McBride at age 80 in 1892......and I think they are death records in the same geographical area as we are using for Mathew. I appreciate your reply and the film records. My hope is that my great-grandfather Mathew (nmi) is the unnamed baptized child of 1844, so I only need one for the lineage. What "other children" did you mean to inquire about? Thank you very much for your help.

Since you are a McBride, there would have to be a son somewhere. I didn't know if the 1844 record was for a male or there was another baptismal record that did not come up in the search.
I looked at the 1892 death record for Nancy McBride https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_retu…; and the informant was her daughter Mary McGirr. So unless John and Nancy had a daughter Mary, this record is for another Nancy McBride although the address is in the general area.
Currently, the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie only has death record images from 1878 on. At some point, hopefully in the next year the GRO will add images for the death records from 1864-1877.
Residents of Moneymore and Kincraigy would have attended the same parish-- Taughboyne, Killes and All Saints.
Have you considered DNA testing?
